Kaltura|Panopto|Opencast CMS Platforms Integration
AREC’s Media Station integrates most of the video management functions with Panopto, Kaltura, and Opencast platforms, such as video uploading, scheduler, and live streaming.

Users can upload videos to platforms through media stations, or control recording and live streaming on them. Meanwhile, the control status will be shown on both sides. In addition, Media Station also supports the “scheduler” function on platforms which allows users to pre-arrange recording and live streaming timetables on the platform and key in the individual content information. When the scheduled time comes, the systems will synchronize from both sides and get ready for the event to record or go live.


AREC's newly released LS-410 4K UHD Media Station
AREC keeps breaking through the possibilities of connecting with peripheral AV devices. The LS-410 4K UHD Media Station was launched in September. LS-410 is a hybrid I/O Media Station. Its I/O interfaces include HDMI/IP/DP and it supports various video streams, such as well-known RTSP and RTMP, Dante Audio, NDI HX, and SRT are included in the system as well. Adding these new IP protocols increases the flexibility and compatibility of the AVOIP workflow.
LS-410 unique feature added to the system for switchable UHD/FHD video encoding and H.264/H.265 video compression
LS-410 carries on the existing features of AREC’s specialty, such as highly compatible Web UI and GUI control, user-friendly built-in real-time video editing software, and various CMS platforms support, such as Kaltura, Panopto, and Opencast. Two video encoding modes have been updated in the system so that users can switch to either 2-channel 4K UHD p30 or 4-channel FHD p30 encoding mode according to their needs. Considering video compression on the encoding quality and video size, LS-410 has built-in both H.264 and H.265 video compression technologies for users to select. The system design benefits users on reducing the bandwidth of video transmission over the network and saving the storage capacity on the platform for lecture capture, Live streaming, and conference recording.
